Creed’s race turned on a crucial late decision to take fresh tires, allowing him to surge through the field before an overtime restart gave him the opportunity to challenge for the lead. He moved ahead of William Sawalich and held on through the final laps to take the victory by just 0.253 seconds, with Sawalich finishing second and Brent Crews completing the top three. Justin Allgaier and Corey Day rounded out the top five, while Carson Kvapil’s dominant run ended in disappointment after leading a race-high 156 laps and winning Stage 2 before a mechanical problem dropped him to 24th. Creed’s perfectly timed late attack ultimately proved decisive in a dramatic finish under the lights at Bristol.
